Ma’alob k’iin. In k’aabae’ Virginia. U k’aaba’ in kaajale’ El Monte. Good day. My name is Virginia. I was born in El Monte, California (Tongva Territory). My beloved mother was born in Zacatecas, México and my storyteller father was born in Cenotillo, Yucatán. My ancestors are Mexica and the Maya who came from the stars. They are my elders who continually guide me in healing myself and others. From their traditions and from maestras, I have learned to be a curandera who uses ceremony, hypnotherapy, Reiki, and Energy Freedom Technique (EFT) to support the healing of others. These healing modalities support a person in all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. A session with me begins with a platica, a heart-to-heart conversation, to see where you are in your journey. Each session is uniquely crafted to your needs. When supporting you, I practice an empowerment model. After all, you are the expert of your own life. I am here to serve as a facilitator and guide. I guide you through the process of accessing your Higher Self—the best version of yourself. The “Higher Self” is all-loving, spiritual, and infinite. With the support of your Higher Self, you are able to bring balance, promote healing, gain clarity, and foster personal and spiritual growth. I grew up with my dad’s oral storytelling where he shared his childhood, the stories of my abuelit@s, and the Mayan version of Aladdin along with numerous myths and legends of our people. As a result, I am captivated by the power of words and use this ability in hypnotherapy sessions. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English. At the university, I facilitated workshops and taught poetry to various groups of students—centering my teaching to first generation, low-income students of color. Furthermore, I am high-spirited when I lead group hypnotherapy sessions and make medicine with indigenous folks. I love working with womxn, indigenous peoples, LGBTQA, and people of color as we share our stories and create medicine for ourselves and our communities.  I am constantly cultivating a relationship with the land. I am a promoter of making medicine for yourself and teaching people how to make their own medicine. I am deeply honored and grateful I tend an organic garden in Ohlone territory full of fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, and medicinal plants. Each day, I am learning and discovering. The world is full of magic. You may be feeling lost and confused wondering if you are in the right path. With the support of your Higher Self and spiritual guides, we guide you to re(member) your life's purpose. We align you with your divine purpose and get you back on track to living a fulfilling and joyful life. If you have an unhealthy pattern or habit, we use hypnotherapy to find the root cause. When we address the root cause, we shift the energy and create a new behavior. While in trance, I reinforce the newly established behavior with positive suggestions. We work together to create a game plan for you to practice the healthy habit in your life. We are the ones we have been waiting for. We are the prayers and dreams of our abuelit@s and ancestors. We inherit more than DNA from our parents and grandparents. Therefore, we have a responsibility to heal ourselves and, in turn, we transform intergeneration trauma into intergenerational beauty.

My first time trying hypnotherapy with Virginia was transformational. I came to her after feeling like I'd hit a plateau with talk therapy. I had reached a place where I was aware of my patterns. I was eager to try hypnotherapy because I wanted to work more on a subconscious level and spark new growth. After my first session with Virginia where she led me through a powerful visualization and we worked through an emotional blockage together, I walked out with more clarity and a fresh perspective. Three years ago I reached out to Virginia. I was in a bad place, mentally, spiritually and physically. I had been going through some difficult times and i didn't know what to do. Thankfully Virginia reached back out to me and provided me with a hypnotherapy and reiki session. During the session I could feel the energy from her hands on areas she was working on. In that moment I felt at ease and for the first time in a long time, I was able to relax my mind and body. After the session was over I felt calm. I felt at peace. ~Hello, I’ve been working with Virginia since 2021. I was researching hypnotherapy around my area and Soul Star Hypnotherapy was the only source that called me. I chose to work with Virginia because in the past, I worked with therapists and doctors who I did not connect with. I’ve always been able to understand what I’m going through from a spiritual perspective first, that in itself is the reason why working with Virginia has been helping me. I began with hypnotherapy first. For me, the most important aspect of receiving therapy or any form of energy work from anybody is to feel safe. Virginia not only made me feel safe, but in moments where my body and mind were in fear, she created the most loving space where I was able to unload all the baggage I carried off my body. What I have appreciated most in Virginia’s work is the proper space that is held. Meaning, I feel seen, heard, respected, empathized with, but at the same time, sovereign. Which leads me to another important aspect for me when working with someone, feeling empowered. Feeling powerless, like a victim, sorry for the self, is the main reason I even started to receive this work. Therefore, if the practitioner is seeing me as the sovereign self healing being that I am, I know for that fact that I’m actually receiving the help I searched for. Along with receiving hypnotherapy sessions, I’ve received limpias. Which are cleansings. To me, this is maintenance. As a highly sensitive energy worker myself, I personally need cleansings regularly. In our last session, Virginia started confirming message after message that my spirit had already been communicating with me. What filled my heart with joy was that I had gotten slightly stuck on a message I had received months prior, and Virginia was able to catch what I had been overlooking. Lastly, to be able to connect to someone doing this sacred work, that comes from the same land of indigenous people as me, I feel is a blessing.
